Kevin's choice this time was the original Fender Blender effects pedal, beloved for its dynamic response and powerful fuzz, and after more than four years of joint development, Fender and Kevin have revived this legendary'70s fuzz, updated its features, and created a completely new Fender Shields Blender.

The Fender Shields Blender recreates the tone of Kevin's own vintage'70s Fender Blender by carefully hand-tracing the circuitry of his original fuzz box. Based on this vintage circuit, an entirely new way to control and blend the original fuzz voices has been built with practical performance in mind, using four easily accessible footswitches. Two footswitchable fuzz channels, each with its own dedicated level control, allow you to blend the fuzz voice with a clean signal or a powerful sub-octave fuzz. The SAG footswitch also allows you to control everything depending on the intensity of your playing, providing sputtering and ducking effects like never before.
