This listing is for a pair of. These are some of the highest quality supertweeters ever produced. The Beryllium foil used to create the driver is extremely lightweight allowing for frequency response to exceptionally high frequencies with low distortion. The nice part about these supertweeters compared to other models by Pioneer is that these have a +/- 3dB frequency response of.

Easily enters the upper end of the. Human hearing range making these great supertweeters to wire in parallel with any speakers that have limited reproduction of the upper frequency range. I used these to augment my main speakers for many years and they work beautifully!

In addition, you will receive a. Very special, high-quality Joshin level control specifically made for super tweeters. The level control is 100% necessary in order to level match these highly efficient (94 dB W/m) tweeters to your speakers. The level control also has a built-in crossover to increase the number of possible crossover points for your application. Finally, all four of these "boxes" have superior construction.

They're made out of high-quality aluminum and are very heavy. I've attached four rubber feet to the bottom of the tweeters to prevent them from moving when placed on top of a speaker.

They all have thick, solid brass connectors too. The supertweeters are TESTED FULLY FUNCTIONAL.

I used these for many years in my main system without problems. They worked great and were a great match for my Rectilinear III speakers. However, I did notice that. One of Beryllium ribbons looks like it may have been damaged by the previous owner. (perhaps by being driven too hard). It does not have the pressed "bumps" of the other speaker. It does not seem to affect the reproduction of audio in my hearing range (18kHz) but may affect extremely high frequencies. In addition, at the low volume range of the level control boxes, some noise can be heard.

The potentiometers would likely benefit from a cleaning with DeOxit if the need to manipulate the potentiometers often is required. Please see the pictures to see the ribbons.

The supertweeters are in GREAT CONDITION. The units are very presentable and will look great in your home, but there are a few issues to note. Signs of use/wear, such as marks, scratches, dust, etc on all four boxes. In addition, some of the connectors and the brushed metal face plate on the tweeters has minor oxidation. One of the plastic covers on the level controller plugs is missing. Please see the pictures to see the condition of the units for yourself!
